Four ministers resign in Latvia

Baku – APA. Four ministers, who are the members of Latvian People’s Party, have resigned today. APA reports that they have already submitted their resignation to Prime Minister Valdis Dombrovskis.
Foreign Minister Maris Riekstins, Justice Minister Marek Seglins, Health Minister Baiba Rozentale and Minister for Regional Development and Local Government Affairs Edgar Zalans have offered their resignation. Another minister, who is the member of the People’s Party – Ints Dalderis refused to resign, he decided to leave the party and continue working in the government as a non-party man.
The ministers resigned after the People’s Party joined opposition. The Party joined the opposition, as it did not agree to the economic policy of the government. Observers assess the decision of the People’s Party as a step aiming to increase the rating in the forthcoming parliamentary elections.
Latvian government was deprived of the voting majority in the parliament after the People’s Party joined opposition.
