PACE proposes to establish four-party commission for the settlement of Russia-Georgia conflict

Strasbourg. Alexander Kin –APA. Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe proposed to establish special four-party commission for the settlement of Russia-Georgia conflict. Co-rapporteur on the conflict Luke van den Brande proposed to involve Georgia and Russia, as well as South Ossetia and Abkhazia in this commission, APA correspondent reports from Strasbourg. During the hearings held on Wednesday co-rapporteurs Matias Yorshi and Luke van den Brande expressed their remarks to both parties and called on to stop the sabotages. The co-rapporteurs also said that Georgia fulfilled most part of its obligations on the settlement of the conflict, but Russia fulfilled only one part.
Head of Russian delegation to PACE Konstantin Kosachev said the authors of the resolution didn’t call on Russia to annul its decision to recognize South Ossetia and Abkhazia. “Now they express dissatisfaction with the Russia’s decision”.
