"The war is over and I hope it will not start again. One of the main issues is the issue of refugees. At present, about 50,000 Azerbaijanis have returned, but there are many mines and problems in those areas," Kimmo Kiljunen, co-rapporteur of the PACE Monitoring Committee on Armenia, said during his speech at the assembly today, APA's bureau in Britain reports.

According to him, it is very important to clear and rebuild the mined areas: "Reconstruction needs to be done. I very much hope that both countries can agree on how to clear mines and use international experience in these matters."

Kimmo Kiljunen noted that the current stage is a stage of reconciliation and confidence-building.
