Ukraine said 2,836 new active COVID-19 cases had been confirmed across the country in the past 24 hours as of September 5, 2020, marking yet another highest daily rise, APA reports citing UNIAN.
The total number of confirmed cases grew to 133,787.
As many as 61,649 patients, including 1,036 in the past day, have recovered. The pandemic has taken 2,811 lives with 50 fatalities recorded over the past day. There were 69,327 active cases as of September 5.
In total, there have been 195,757 reports on suspected COVID-19 since the beginning of 2020. The highest number of new confirmed cases in the past 24 hours was registered in Kharkiv region (380 cases) and the city of Kyiv (315).
