The European Medicines Agency (EMA) will hold a briefing at 15:00 BST on the AstraZeneca vaccine relating to cases of blood clots, APA reports citing BBC.

Speakers will include EMA executive director Emer Cooke and EMA safety committee chairwoman Dr Sabine Straus.

The UK watchdog, the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency is also carrying out its own investigation into the jab.

Currently there is no proven link between the jab and blood clots and experts say any risk is low. But the concerns have seen some countries stop giving the AstraZeneca vaccine and yesterday it was announced a trial in the UK testing the jab on children was being paused.
