The Spanish economy is expected to grow in 2021 despite the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the country's Finance Minister Nadia Calvino stated on Thursday, APA reports citing Teletrader.
Calvino asserted that economic growth will be more intense than in other big European economies, noting that all indicators point to Spain having a positive trend in the fourth quarter of 2020 even with the second wave of COVID-19.
Previously, the minister noted that the European Union must focus on promoting growth and securing more job openings in order to recover from the pandemic-caused crisis.
