First Turkish military drone lands in Turkish Cyprus

The first Turkish military drone landed in Northern Cyprus to “defend national interests,” Turkey’s vice president said on Monday, APA reports quoting Anadolu Agency.

The drone landed at Gecitkale Airport in the eastern coastal city of Magusa (Famagusta).

"Our first UAV [unmanned aerial vehicle] which landed at Gecitkale Airport to fly over the the Eastern Mediterranean skies will protect the interests of the TRNC and our country, and will serve for the regional security and peace," Fuat Oktay on Twitter.
