Georgia will open its land borders as soon as the situation allows, said Georgian Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Natia Turnava, APA’s local bureau reports.

According to her, the country's leadership is trying to attract foreign investors by accelerating the privatization process in order to prevent the rapid depreciation of the lari.

“The second step is the opening of the country for tourism. We already think to open the land borders as soon as the situation allows and to strengthen national currency with the amount that foreign tourists will spend for coming to the country through this way” said Natia Turnava.
