Georgian President expresses concern over tensions on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border

Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili has expressed concern over tensions on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border on July 12-13, Georgian Presidential Administration says, APA's local bureau reports.

"Today, as we all fight the invisible enemy, maintaining international solidarity and global stability is crucial. Peace and security in our region are important for the future development of Georgia, as well as for our friends and partner countries - Armenia and Azerbaijan," Zurabishvili said in a statement.

The Georgian president expressed hope that the necessary measures would be taken in a timely manner and that further escalation of the situation would be prevented through peaceful negotiations.
