German COVID cases up by 14,022 deaths by 839

Data compiled by the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) showed that 14,022 people tested positive for the COVID-19 during the past day in Germany, bringing the country's total to 2,192,850, APA reports citing Teletrader.

In the meantime, the cumulative number of fatalities reached 55,752, as another 839 deaths were attributed to the virus.

Although the infections seem to be leveling off the nation had seen a spike in deaths as of late after surpassing the 1,000-threshold for the first time in December.
