Robert Koch Institute (RKI) revealed in its update released on Wednesday that Germany registered 813 coronavirus deaths in the past twenty-four hours, bringing the country's total to 62,969, APA reports citing Teletrader.
In the meantime, the cumulative number of infections rose to 2,299,996, as another 8,072 people tested positive for the illness.
Although the nationwide infections seem to be leveling off, Germany had seen a spike in deaths after surpassing the 1,000-threshold for the first time in December.
