German daily COVID cases lowest since Nov 23

Data aggregated by the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) showed at least 10,976 people tested positive for the COVID-19 during the past day in Germany, marking the nation's lowest daily jump in coronavirus cases since November 23, when health officials confirmed 10,864 new infections, APA reports citing Teletrader.

The country's total rises to 1,651,834 with the newly confirmed cases added. In the meantime, the cumulative number of fatalities reached 30,126, as another 348 deaths were attributed to the virus.

Over the past weekend, Germany began vaccinating its citizens against the virus being that the inoculation developed by Pfizer Inc. with its partner BioNTech SE, received the necessary approval.
