Germany adds 5,608 COVID cases, fewest since October

The Robert Koch Institute (RKI) unveiled on Monday that the number of confirmed coronavirus cases grew by 5,608 to reach a total of 2,221,971 in Germany, APA reports citing Teletrader.

The country registered the lowest number of infections since October 17.

The death toll from the virus climbed to 57,120, marking an increase of 175 fatalities in the past 24 hours as the country reported fewest coronavirus deaths since November 29.

Meanwhile, the institute's data showed that the 7-day incidence or the number of infections per 100,000 people dropped to 90.9 in Germany.
