Germany adds 7,141 virus cases, lowest since Oct 20

Data aggregated by the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) showed 7,141 people tested positive for the COVID-19 during the past day in Germany, APA reports citing Teletrader.

The figure marks the country's lowest daily jump in coronavirus cases since October 10, when health officials confirmed 6,868 new infections and it brings the number of people who contracted the virus to date to 2,040,659.

The cumulative number of fatalities reached 46,633 in the meantime, as another 214 deaths were attributed to the virus, which is the lowest number seen since December 14.
