Germany sees over 1,000 virus deaths 2 days in row

Robert Koch Institute (RKI) revealed in its update released on Thursday that Germany registered 1,070 coronavirus deaths in the past twenty-four hours, APA reports citing Teletrader.

The figure is the second-highest daily death toll recorded since the pandemic hit the nation, also marking the second day in a row that the country lost over 1,000 people to the illness in a single day.

The country's total rises to 37,607 once the newly confirmed deaths are added, while the cumulative number of infections reaches 1,835,038, with another 26,391 people testing positive for the virus.
