Germany's COVID cases up by record 29,875, deaths at 598

Daily coronavirus cases in Germany reached a record high for the second day in a row at 29,875, Robert Koch Institute announced on Friday. Total cases now grew to 1,272,078, APA reports citing Teletrader.

Deaths in the last 24 hours amounted to 598. The overall death toll since the start of the pandemic stood at 20,970. Robert Koch Institute President Lothar Wieler warned on Thursday that there could be another "exponential rise" in COVID-19 cases in the country.
