The organization's secretary general said this at a press conference in Brussels after an online meeting with Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia.
He noted that Georgia has made great strides in army building, as well as democratic reforms.
Stoltenberg stressed the role of Georgia in strengthening NATO's position in the Black Sea region, noting that it is of strategic importance for the organization.
