The number of fatalities linked to COVID-19 registered daily in Poland reached its new record high of 954, the country's Health Ministry revealed on Thursday. Since the start of the pandemic, 56,659 people have died from the consequences of coronavirus in the country, APA reports citing Teletrader.
The figure for infections recorded on a daily basis came in at 27,887, marking another sharp increase in comparison to the previous few days. The total tally for cases noted since the beginning of the pandemic now stands at 2,499,507.
Meanwhile, the toll of people that recovered from the disease rose by 22,973 to 2,076,504. On the other hand, 433,346 remained in precautionary quarantine.
