The chief executive officer (CEO) of Ryanair Michael O'Leary said on Monday that the airline will not cancel its flights from and to the United Kingdom even if the country's current policy of 14-day quarantine for incoming travelers remains active throughout July and August, APA reports citing Teletrader.

"No, because the flights are full outbound of the UK. British people are ignoring this quarantine, they know it's rubbish," O'Leary commented. "Ryanair is operating a thousand daily flights to points all over Portugal, Spain, Italy, Greece from the 1st of July, the 2nd, the 3rd and every day after that."

RyanAir previously announced it was experiencing "big surge" in bookings on flights from the UK and Ireland to holiday destinations such as Spain and Italy as the restrictions imposed due to the coronavirus pandemic are eased throughout the continent.
