Samad Seyidov criticizes PACE’s rapporteur Sunna Thorhildur Ævarsdóttir

The Head of Azerbaijani delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of Council of Europe (PACE) Samad Seyidov has criticized the PACE’s rapporteur on “Reported cases of political prisoners in Azerbaijan” Sunna Thorhildur Ævarsdóttir, APA’s European bureau reports.

S. Seyidov said in his speech at PACE’s winter session that although the statement of the PACE’s observation mission that arrived in Azerbaijan before the election bears a criticizing character, no insulting expression has been voiced in the statement.

However S. Seyidov said he can’t say the same in regard to the PACE’s rapporteur on “Reported cases of political prisoners in Azerbaijan” Sunna Thorhildur Ævarsdóttir.

“Sunna Thorhildur Ævarsdóttir has expressed her comments in a very unacceptable manner in this organization. Therefore now I understand why there is a crisis in this organization. If you can’t respect each other and speak in an unacceptable way, then a crisis will break out”, he stressed.
