Spanish Foreign Minister Arancha Gonzales Laya stated on Wednesday morning that she believes digital vaccine certificates for travel will be ready by June, APA reports citing Reuters.
The vaccine certificates are meant to help facilitate travel within the European Union for the upcoming summer season. Laya's comments are in line with previous statements made by the European Commission.
Spain's coronavirus case numbers have leveled off in recent weeks at around 5,000 per day, with yesterday's numbers confirming this with 4,994 positive coronavirus cases. The current count currently stands at 3,275,819, while the total number of deaths is 75,305.
