The UK death toll from the coronavirus outbreak has increased by at least 813 in the last 24 hours with England alone recording 744 more deaths, APA reports citing The Mirror.
The new UK total is 12,157.
The total figure yesterday for the UK with England, Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland combined was 11,344.
A further 744 people died in hospital in England, bringing the total to 11,005, health officials said on Tuesday.
Fifty eight of them had no known underlying health conditions and they were aged between 38 and 96 years old.
A total of 615 patients have died in Scotland after testing positive for coronavirus, up by 40 from 575 on Monday, First Minister Nicola Sturgeon said today.
Wales’s overall figures went up 19 to 403 with Northern Ireland reporting 10 more deaths to a total of 134.
