The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved and submitted for consideration by the National Security and Defense Council a proposal to apply for three years personal special economic and other restrictive measures (sanctions) to legal entities involved in the supply of materials, equipment and services to enterprises of the Russian military-industrial complex, located in the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine, APA reports citing UNIAN.

As stated in the Cabinet's Order of November 27, No. 1237-r, published on the government portal, the National Security and Defense Council must make a decision within a month.

The move is connected to "the ongoing armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, its assistance and financing of terrorist activities in Ukraine, which led to a violation of the territorial integrity of Ukraine, the rights and freedoms of its citizens, the temporary occupation of part of the territory, numerous casualties, real and potential threats to national interests, national security and sovereignty of Ukraine."

After the decision of the National Security and Defense Council enters into force, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is instructed to inform the competent authorities of the European Union, the USA, and other states with the aim of considering the issue of introducing similar restrictive measures.
