Ukraine's Parliament votes to reduce 2020 state budget

The Verkhovna Rada has reduced the state budget of Ukraine for 2020. 249 MPs voted for the corresponding draft law No. 3279-d during the extraordinary session on April 13, 2020, APA reports citing 112.international.

The online broadcast was conducted by the 112 Ukraine TV channel.

According to the amendments, budget revenues of Ukraine decrease from $40.5 bln to $36 bln, while expenses increase from $43.7 bln to $46.7 bln.

The state budget deficit now increases from $3,6 bln to $11 bln.

The lawmakers plan to cover the increased deficit through loans and borrowings. The permitted limit of state debt as of December 31 will also increase from $75.5 bln to $88,1 bln.
