European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen hailed on Thursday the start of coronavirus vaccine distribution in the European Union. She added that vaccines will be "available for all soon," without offering details, APA reports citing Teletrader.
"I'm moved to see the first COVID-19 vaccines shipped to all EU countries, at the same time. In a few days, the first Europeans will be vaccinated. Vaccines will be available for all soon. Together, we will overcome the pandemic," she stated. The first batches of the shot made by Pfizer and BioNTech will be used to vaccinate EU citizens starting from December 27.
