In a devastating incident on the Sivas-Malatya highway in eastern Türkiye, four individuals tragically lost their lives and three others sustained injuries when a passenger minibus collided with a truck, APA reports citing Ilkha.
The accident occurred on Monday morning at the Yağdonduran location, where the road had become treacherously slippery due to heavy rainfall.
According to local reports, the passenger minibus was en route to the Kangal district when it collided head-on with the truck, which was approaching from the opposite direction. The slippery road conditions exacerbated by the rainfall contributed to the severity of the collision.
Preliminary assessments indicate that the accident resulted in the loss of four lives, while three individuals sustained injuries.
Promptly after receiving the distressing news, numerous medical and police teams were immediately dispatched to the scene.
The injured victims were swiftly transported to nearby hospitals for urgent medical attention.
