Azerbaijani Ambassador: "Long-term approach and contracts are important for project success"

In an interview with the presenter Darren McCaffrey, the diplomat said that relations between Azerbaijan and the United Kingdom are at a high level, and Britain is the largest foreign investor in Azerbaijan.

“In fact, the more than 600 UK companies working in Azerbaijan, of course, the lead is the BP, but not just BP. There are other companies as well in urban planning, in construction, in other areas,” the Ambassador said.

“Also, the exchange of letters between President Ilham Aliyev and Prime Minister Boris Johnson shows that our relations are at a high level. Azerbaijan's cooperation with BP and other British companies is the result of the far-sighted approach of our top management. The benefits and contribution of this cooperation are still continuing, "Elin Suleymanov said.

"Of course, Azerbaijan is ready to increase cooperation, but long-term approaches and agreements are important to ensure the success of such projects. Azerbaijan has begun the transition to green energy. Time has shown that steps taken on the basis of real ideas and practical steps are more effective," the ambassador said in an interview.
