"The EU welcomes the agreement signed between the UN and Turkiye on the export of Ukrainian grain," Joseph Borrell, the High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Affairs, wrote on Twitter, APA reports.
"Russia‘s illegal operation of Ukraine has left millions at risk of hunger. Today‘s Istanbul agreement is a step in the right direction. We call for its swift implementation. We welcome efforts by United Nations and Turkiye. The EU is committed to continuing to help export Ukraine’s grain," said Joseph Borrell.
