Assistant to the President of Brazil for International Affairs Celso Amorim visited Kyiv and met with Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky, Deputy Foreign Minister Andriy Melnyk, and other members of the Ukrainian leadership, said the Folha de São Paulo newspaper, APA reports.
“The dialogue was positive, confidence-building, aimed at clarifying our goals for peace,” Amorim explained.
The assistant to the Brazilian leader also noted that he does not want to share more information, as the government will make it official in the coming days. According to Amorim, there is no immediate solution for peace in Ukraine, it will be difficult to reach an agreement. Both sides must come to understand that the cost of war will be higher than the price of individual concessions.
