Britain's Queen Elizabeth II died on Thursday at the age of 96, Buckingham Palace has said, APA's Britain bureau reports.
She is succeeded by her eldest son and heir, the Prince of Wales, who becomes King Charles III.
Notably, Queen Elizabeth II was the longest-reigning monarch in British history.
