Bulgaria's Deputy Prime Minister for EU Funds and Minister of Finance Assen Vassilev has tested positive for COVID-19, the finance ministry said Tuesday, APA reports.
Vassilev got tested on Tuesday after he felt unwell and will perform his duties remotely, the ministry said in a statement in the evening.
Parliament Speaker Nikola Minchev and Foreign Minister Teodora Genchovska also tested positive for COVID-19 earlier this month.
To date, a total of 891,277 COVID-19 cases have been confirmed in Bulgaria, including 11,049 in the last 24 hours, according to the country's Health Ministry.
