Charles Michel, President of the European Council, has stated that it is important to increase the number of permanent members of the UN Security Council, the President of the EU Council said in his speech at the 78th session of the UN General Assembly, APA reports.
"The United Nations Organization. As the name suggests, it is a club of nations. When we contemplate the reform of the multilateral system, we consider states as its fundamental unit. It is inevitable to increase the number of permanent members of the Security Council. We must move beyond this status quo," emphasized Charles Michel.
