Eight European countries have joined the sanctions against Russia and the oil price cap, it was reflected in the EU's statement, APA reports.

These are North Macedonia, Montenegro, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ukraine, and the European Free Trade Zone countries of Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Norway.

It was stated that these countries support the organization's sanctions policy in order to enter the European Union.

European free trade zone countries must comply with all trade restrictions imposed by the EU or risk becoming a gray export zone.

Serbia is the only candidate for EU membership that has consistently refused to put sanctions on Russia.
