The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Finland thanked Türkiye for the approval of the NATO membership protocol, said the Ministry on Twitter, APA reports.
"Grateful to Grand National Assembly of Türkiye for the decision to ratify Finland's Accession Protocol.
We finished the task that had taken us more than ten months. On May 17, 2022, we requested for NATO membership. Canada and Denmark gave the first approvals. Hungary's approval must be submitted to Washington by tomorrow. The Turkish Grand National Assembly has now made a decision. We are living in historical days," the post said.
