The countries of the Group of Seven (G7) are developing a mechanism to monitor compliance with anti-Russian sanctions, APA reports citing Bloomberg.

It notes that it is about creating a “coordination mechanism to ensure compliance” with the sanctions regime.

According to the agency, the initiative is designed to increase efforts to exchange information and involves taking action against countries and companies around the world “suspected of supporting” the Russia's special operation in Ukraine by “bypassing or violating” the restrictions that were introduced against the Russian Federation.

According to Bloomberg, along with the introduction of additional restrictions, “the main focus of the allies will be on enforcing the already imposed sanctions.”

The source stressed that the United States expresses concern about the control over compliance with the restriction regime.
