Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili has signed a decree banning grain exports from the country, APA's local bureau reports.
The government stated that the decision was made in connection with food security.
"Due to the Russia-Ukraine war, the export of wheat and barley from Georgia will be banned until July 1, 2023, regarding the food security in the world," the government said in a statement.
The ban on grain exports will take effect on July 4.
