Georgia reports 2,953 new cases of coronavirus, 31 deaths

According to stopcov.ge, as part of the intensive testing, 25,745 tests were conducted across the country in the last 24 hours, including 15,240 antigen tests and 10,505 PCR tests, APA reports citing Georgian Journal.

Testing revealed 2,953 new cases of the virus in the last 24 hours. The total number of confirmed cases detected to date since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic in the country amounts to 962,827.

As of January 9, the daily positive rate is 11.47%, for the last 14 days - 7.76% and for 7 days - 9.57%.

In the last 24 hours, 1,085 people recovered from the virus, bringing the total to 913,528. 31 deaths from coronavirus were reported in the last 24 hours. A total of 14,218 people have died from the virus since the pandemic spread.
