In a joint statement on Saturday, Germany, France and the United Kingdom said that Iran continues to escalate its nuclear program, raising serious doubts about its commitment to rebuilding a nuclear agreement with the five permanent members of the United Nations Security Council, together with the European Union, APA reports citing Teletrader.

The efforts to revive the nuclear deal come after Tehran in 2020 took a step back in its commitment to the 2015 Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), following the US attack against Iranian General Qassem Soleimani.

"Unfortunately, Iran has chosen not to seize this critical diplomatic opportunity," the statement, released Saturday, read. "Instead, Iran continues to escalate its nuclear program way beyond any plausible civilian justification," it added.
