The German government will provide Ukraine with an additional 200 million euros to finance aid programs for internally displaced persons who had to leave their homes after the full-scale invasion of Russia, APA reports citing Reuters.

This was stated by the Federal Minister of Economic Cooperation and Development, Svenja Schulze.

The official made such a statement shortly before the visit of Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal to Germany. The head of the Ukrainian government will visit Berlin on Monday, September 5, where he will meet with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz.

“I will talk to Prime Minister Shmyhal about how we can continue to support the Ukrainian government in caring for displaced persons. The money is intended to help displaced persons in Ukraine continue to provide themselves with everything they need,” Shultze noted.

We would like to remind you that landlords who help IDPs with accommodation can receive compensation from the state in the amount of approximately 450 hryvnias per month for each admitted person.
