"There is no basis to call the events of 1915 'genocide'. We expect everyone to see the facts presented by our historians regarding these baseless claims. This is not a thing in any way that will serve peace in the region and the world," said Turkiye's Minister of National Defense Hulusi Akar, APA's Turkiye bureau reports.
He noted that there are studies regarding these events that have been collected from the US sources: "An expression "genocide" has not been reflected in these studies in any way. But now, everything is being distorted by political attempts. Our history is clear, there is no anything to be ashamed".
