Hulusi Akar: "It is important to protect the law of the Turkmens in Kirkuk"

“It is very important for us to protect the rights and laws of the Turkmen in Kirkuk," said Hulusi Akar, Turkish National Defence Minister in a video conference meeting held with the participation of Chief of General Staff General Yaşar Güler, Force Commanders, Deputy Minister Yunus Emre Karaosmanoğlu and unit commanders, APA's local bureau reports citing Anadolu.

Emphasizing that the fight against terrorism will continue until the last terrorist is neutralized, Akar said.

“While doing this, we maintain our relations with both Erbil and Baghdad in a constructive manner that respects rights and law. We strive for positive developments. We need to reach the goal together. Both our Iraqi brothers and sisters “This is the way to ensure security for us. We will continue to work shoulder to shoulder here,” he said.

"We follow the developments there very closely," said Hulusi Akar.
