Hungary will ratify the agreement on Sweden's accession to NATO earlier than Türkiye, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary Péter Szijjártó, speaking at a press conference after a meeting in Budapest with his counterpart from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Elmedin Konaković, APA reports citing TASS.
"We support Sweden's entry into NATO," said the head of the MFA, stressing that the government's position on this issue has been announced for a long time. "If we did not support it, we would not submit the ratification proposal to the parliament," he added.
According to him, parliamentarians should make a decision after that.
