International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Director General Rafael Grossi told RIA Novosti in an interview posted on Wednesday that the agency continues to monitor the "speed and degree" of water decline at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant (ZNPP), APA reports.
Grossi warned that in the medium term, the aftermath of the Kakhovka dam destruction could leave the plant without cooling water, which could then lead to other radiological consequences.
Earlier, the IAEA chief assured the public that currently, there is no immediate risk to the safety of the plant.
