IAEA experts to stay in Zaporizhzhia until Sept. 3

Representatives of the International Atomic Energy Agency are expected to stay at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant in southeastern Ukraine at least until September 3, local official Volodymyr Rogov confirmed on Thursday, APA reports citing Teletrader.

Members of the IAEA's mission at the largest European nuclear power station are working on establishing a permanent presence in the area surrounding the plant, Russian news agency Interfax cited Rogov as saying.

The plant is currently controlled by Russia's military forces. Both Kiev and Moscow accused each other of shelling the zone hosting the plant over the past days.
