IAEA staff still at Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant - Russia

The International Atomic Energy Agency's staff is still at the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Station (ZNPP) in the southeastern part of Ukraine, said the head of the Zaporizhzhia region's administration Vladimir Rogov, APA reports citing RIA Novosti.

The news comes as the largest European nuclear plant's operator, Energoatom, announced on Sunday the plant had stopped operating during the day due to the ongoing fighting in close proximity to the ZNPP and a possible nuclear disaster.

The event was followed by a telephone conversation between Russian and French leaders who discussed the worrying situation at the plant.
