An open letter to the population and business calling for an immediate switch to energy saving mode was published by the leading French energy companies – Engie, EDF and TotalEnergies, APA reports citing Le Journal du Dimanche.
In their message, energy companies warn of a serious crisis that could threaten the social and political cohesion of France and call on the country’s population and businesses to urgently limit energy consumption.
“We call for awareness and collective and individual action so that each of us – each consumer, each company – changes its behavior and immediately limits the consumption of energy, electricity, gas and oil products”, – said in an open letter.
