"The metro in Kharkiv has been launched today, at 07:00. The first week of subway travel will be free," the mayor of Kharkiv Igor Terekhov declared, APA reports.

“Three months after the Russian attack on Ukraine, we will launch the subway. At 07:00, for the first time in 89 days, trains of the Kharkiv subway will start moving. I want to say at once – since Kharkiv’s economy is just beginning to revive, the first days of the subway trains will run at intervals of half an hour," Terekhov said earlier.
