Latvia bans  102 Russians from entry

Latvia banned more than 100 Russians from entering the country, Latvian Foreign Minister Edgars Rinkevics said on Twitter on Friday, APA reports citing TASS.

"Based on Section 61, Paragraph 2 of the Immigration Law, I have made a decision regarding the inclusion of 102 citizens of the Russian Federation in the list of persons undesirable to the Republic of Latvia," he said.

The ban is set for an indefinite period of time.

The list includes some Russian cultural figures. On May 9 Rinkevics announced that Filipp Kirkorov, Vladimir Vinokur, Yevgeny Petrosyan and Irina Viner-Usmanova were banned from entering Latvia.
