France and Germany missed the opportunity to play the role of mediators in resolving the conflict in Ukraine, said Kremlin official representative Dmitry Peskov in an interview with Izvestia, APA reports.
“It is clear that Macron and Scholz would like to at least visually remain contenders for the role of some kind of intermediaries, but de facto, of course, they have probably already practically lost this opportunity,” he emphasized.
Both the President of France and the Chancellor of Germany, Peskov added, have lost sovereignty in the current situation.
