In a phone conversation with the president of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, French President Emmanuel Macron called the annexation of the occupied Ukrainian regions by the Russian Federation illegal and said that Paris will help Ukraine in restoring its sovereignty, said the “BFM” channel citing Élysée Palace, APA reports.
"The President of the Republic reaffirmed his strong condemnation of Russia's illegal annexation of four Ukrainian regions," Macron's administration noted.
Élysée Palace said that "France remains committed to helping Ukraine restore full sovereignty and territorial integrity.”
